HUDA Beauty Desert Dusk Palette
The Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette is so beautiful, at $107 (NZD) it’s definitely not the cheapest palette on the market at any stretch. So what do you get for your investment?
Visually the packaging really packs a punch with the Desert Dusk Palette. The lid has a close up image of Huda Beauty founder Huda Kattan’s eyes. The Huda Beauty logo and the beautiful jewels on her head have a reflective, shiny finish.
When you open up the palette there is a plastic protective sheet across the shadow pans, which also have Huda’s eye image printed. It’s a small detail, but a really nice touch, and something I haven’t seen before.
Colour selection in the Desert Dusk palette is stunning, and the palette name is definitely reflected in the shade range. There are 4 different shadow finishes:
* 6 pressed pearl shades in Turkish Delight, Angelic, Cashmere, Royal, Nefertiti, and Blood Moon.
* 3 Duo-Chrome Toppers in Retrograde, Twilight, and Celestial.
* 1 Pure glitter in Cosmo
I find the matte shades to be really smooth and soft. The pigment is great, however you do need to build it up to intensify the colour. Personally I like this because it’s easy to get that natural blend.
The pressed pearl and duo-chrome shades have amazing pigment and work amazing, especially with a damp brush. a pure glitter isn’t the easiest to work with… but that is universal with glitters in general, and with the right tools, the glitter does work amazing.
I’m really happy with this palette, even though it is my most expensive palette, I have no regrets. If your budget can stretch to it, I highly recommend the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette.
