Most of the time I love wearing a makeup. Some times I don’t want a full face, but I do want a little bit of coverage. Those are the days I use this ‘no makeup’ makeup look! Follow my tips and tricks to a fresh, natural and light makeup look, that you can re-create in 10 minutes…
I start with a really light weight base, using Benefit Porefessional to minimise my pores and blur any imperfections. Next I dab on some colour corrector (L’Oreal Infallible Total Colour Palette) to conceal any dark circles or redness. I then use a really tiny amount of foundation (MAC Pro Longwear Foundation) over the skin, using a beauty blender to even out my overall skin tone. Finally I use an eye primer (Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion) on my lids as a base.
The only powder I use on my cheeks is bronzer, I use a light reflecting bronzer (Hourglass Surreal Bronze Light – Surreal Light Ambient Lighting Edit Palette). I dab a dot of MAC Strobe Cream on my cheek bones to highlight. Finally I use a cream blush (Benefit Fine One One) to add some colour into my cheeks, simply blending it in with my fingers.
For my brows I avoid anything too neat and keep it natural. I fill them in with a brow pencil (MAC Brow Sculpt Crayon) then add some depth with my L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper.
The only matte shadows I will use on my eyes is in the crease to add some definition. I will finish by sweeping a nude shimmer all over the lid (The Balm Nude ‘tude). I finish with a lengthening mascara (Benefit Roller Lash).
For my lips, I use a very natural pink nude shade in a satin finish (Rimmel By Kate Moss Lipstick Shade 45). Finally I spritz Mac Prep & Prime Fix + all over my face to keep my skin hydrated and finish off the look.
The key here is to use very small amounts, adding very slight effects; overall creating a very natural finish. Also sticking to liquid products to reduce the amount of texture I add to the skin.
