Finding a dress (or party dress!) that is comfortable and fits in all the right places can be hard. Not to mention feeling confident while you wear it. When my friend Mel showed me the online store LittlePartyDress.com.au I loved the look of the dresses. When I saw how amazing she looked in the dresses, I knew I had to get my own. This week I am doing my first clothing haul to share the dresses I bought.
Little Party Dress
A little bit about the company; Little Party Dress is wholly Australian owned and managed by Kelly Purvis. She is a one-woman business, running the online store, replying all emails, posting all social media and even modelling all of the dresses! I love this about LPD, if you want to know more, click here.
As always, a disclaimer to say that I am not being sponsored to write this review. I’m genuinely in love with these dresses and want to share them with you.
Mandy Orange Tropical Dress – $59.95 AUD
The Mandy dress is a stunning floral wrap dress. It has a flattering v-neck and ties around your waist. The sleeves cover up the tops of your arms without being clingy. The material skims over the tummy and has a high-low length hem. The Mandy dress comes in 8 different materials, I have the Orange Tropical.
I think this is my favourite of all the dresses because it is so versatile. Teamed with nude heels, this makes a feminine look perfect for a wedding or event. Add a blazer and heels and you are ready for a day in the office. I also paired the dress with some ankle boots and a leather jacket for a more casual look.
Chance Black Dress – $64.95 AUD
This is the most unique style dress out of the three I bought. The Chance dress comes in both black and animal print. I chose black because I thought it would go with more. The loose fit with v-neck and elasticated waist make this a very flattering fit. I love the built in choker, it is especially good for someone like me who is lazy when it comes to accessories. It also has pockets… everybody loves a dress with pockets!
The look I’d probably go for most with this dress is to throw on some ankle boots. Because it’s black it’s so versatile, a denim jacket would make this even more casual. Adding a leather jacket and thigh boots creates a more edgy look. Slip on a pair of heels and you have a real classic LBD party outfit.
Desiree Navy Print Wrap Dress – $59.95 AUD
The Desiree dress comes in three different patterned materials. Similarly to the Mandy dress, this is a wrap dress and has loose fitting sleeves. The cut is shorter and straighter, and is described as ‘kimono style’. I find the wrap dress extremely flattering on my body type.
Throw on a pair of heels with this dress and it’s the perfect party dress. My favourite look is to pair this dress with a denim jacket and some sandals. You get a great casual summer look. Finally, teamed with a jacket and some boots gives a smart casual look. You could also add some tights and this would be perfect for work.
Let me know which of these dresses is your favourite, or if you have bought anything from Little Party Dress. I’ll see you next week.
